Great!!! For everyone from skating fans to Olympic Champs!5
This book does not just work for dummies, but any skating fan!! Skaters and fans alike will go back again and again to look up how to do a certain manevuer or a certain rule. Includes summaries of current skating stars, test requirements, how-tos on everything from skate buying to choreography, and glimpses into the life of Yamaguchi. It tells that the sport is not all buttons and bows, though. Yamaguchi includes a bit on eating disorders and how financially difficult this sport is. A must-read for anyone even slightly interested in the sport.

Factual, technically superb and entertaining.4
Kristi's book is a great one to read if you are just getting interested in the sport of figure skating. She provides all the imformation beginning skaters want to know, from choosing music to how to do a triple lutz. The only part that needed work was the amount of detail on choosing boots, blades, etc. Even so, this is one of the most informitive skating books I have ever read.

Great book for all skaters5
I'm an ice-skater and i found this book lots of fun to read. It had information for beginners on where to start and how to, skates, boots, coaching etc. as well as Info on weight training and jumps ( being able to see step by step each jump is a great help for learning them, whether they are singles, doubles or tripples) I'd recomend it to any one of any level of skating
