Customer Reviews
An interesting and revealing insite into skateboarding.
This book is very good if you are interested in skateboarding. It teaches you the basics and some more complicated tricks. It also has an interesting look at the invention of skateboarding and it's rise to the popular extream sport that it is nowadays. This book is a must for any skateboarder looking to improve his skills and make his way to the top of pro skating.
Not half bad but only just over half good.
Not a bad book. It covers all the basics and gives a good outline of skate history. Also has a good section breaking down basic tricks into stages. However, I will say that there are far beter examples out there with more depth on the subject. You will find this book is best for you if you want to learn a little out of interest, as a parent or are on a budget but if you are serious about skating or want to take it up as a hobby, then my advice to you is to keep on looking.
Steve Badillo Talks Sense
This book has a lot of sensible guidelines and tips to getting started and is encouraging for the older person new to skating. It introduces you to the world of skating and gives you a respect for something which has earned it's place as a sport and bonifide leisure activity. There is some repetition in the 2nd book 'Skateboarding: Book of Tricks' but it seems necessary as you may go straight for the 2nd book.
