Philip and Martin are two of London's most successful villains. They specialize mainly in drugs, but also deal in guns, stolen cars, credit cards and pretty much everything else that comes their way. And business is booming. Martin drives a top-of-the-range BMW and Philip a slick Merc. When they hit town their wallets are fat with banknotes. If a deal looks good, money's not a problem. Tough, streetwise and professional, they're the kind of men other crooks like to deal with. And that's just the idea, because both Philip and Martin are undercover cops. Revealed for the first time, this is the explosive true story of the Met's covert operations by two men from the front line where any mistake could have been their last.

Reads like 'The Bill' anthology but more interesting
As a clueless student nearing graduation, my kneejerk response when finishing this book was 'I want to be a police officer!'. following two officers, this book explores the much darker side of undercover police work. fortunately this book does not fall into the trap of being too voyeuristic but a balanced and thoughtful account of both the highs and lows such work entails. The book is thoroughly engaging and should not be picked up unless you have enough spare time to read it cover-to-cover there and then!
One hell of a book!!
Where to begin.... from the moment i picked up this book i was glued and could not put it back down!! Each page told a different story of the lives of these police officers, prepared to put their lives on the line to make our world a safer place. The risks involved in their jobs were paramount and this is clearly reflected in this book. The twists and turns in each individual chapter allow this book to come to a climax ending, where i was on the edge of my seat to see the fate of these two officers! An amazing book, i would recommend this read to anyone!!!!!!
Top marks
This book in brilliant, it brings to life the experiences of the author and is also believable (which seems to be lacking in similar books of this genre where the authors claim to have done things which appear to be blatant embellishments to sell books!)
My only criticism is that it is very difficult to put down and as such I got through it fairly quickly.
