The RHS Diary 2009 is illustrated with works from the collection drawings made by Chinese artists under the supervision of John Reeves (1774 1856). Reeves, an inspector of tea at Canton and Macao for the East India Company, sent a total of 755 drawings to the Society. The Reeves Chinese drawings were divided into two sets. One set consists of three folio volumes containing 127 drawings of camellias, chrysanthemums and peonies. The remaining drawings were grouped in five volumes covering a large variety of plants. The anthologies are from the RHS Lindley Library, acknowledged as the world's finest horticultural library. Each week features a full-page colour illustration and the diary includes the dates of all the RHS Flower Shows as well as national and religious holidays and astronomical information.

A useful and lovely gift for plant lovers
A5 sized and a week to view, there's just enough space to jot down those important events and things to do, or in my case make a note of the day to day work made on my garden/allotment, the weather and other miscellaneous observations.
What lifts this diary out of the ordinary are the accompanying historic botanical illustrations taken from the archives of the RHS' Lindley library. There's one sumptuous illustration per week and they are a delight.
There's the usual calendar, holiday and moon phase information, plus details of the RHS show dates. A few pages at the back of the diary are reserved for general notes.
Something any plant lover will treasure.

Rhs desk diary
This is a beautiful item, well-made, with superb illustrations. But the big plus was the reasonable price that you charges, quite a bit less than in local shops. It all helps
