disappointed fan
i gave this one star rating because there is no minus rating. I can honestly say that rarely have I been so disappointed in an author's work than I was with this.i have all the previous titles in the series but this book so annoyed me I doubt I will read any more. The book was uninteresting and the whole idea that Prince "Eddie" was misunderstood because of his deafness (ignoring the well-documented historical evidence as to his character)was so unbelievable. I did not care a jot about any of the characters. Also I found the continuous repeated incorrect use of the terms "England" and "English" instead of "Britain" and "British" irritating - particularly when the book was set in Scotland.

What can I say, on the whole I liked the book but I felt that it ran out of a little steam towards the middle. It could after reading the rest of the set I have become a little jaded but I do feel it is a well written novel with on the whole good location and character development which holds the interest to the final page as always
