Essential! for Final Cut graders5
If you are used to Final Cut for grading and color correction, and are slightly intimidated by that new app in your suite because it looks like 'proper' software, just spend the money get this book and prepare to fall in love with Color. It is so well made and easy to follow, you will find the whole learning experience a complete joy, and within no time you will only use Final Cut's grading tools for quick previews, and be looking forward to exporting your project to Color.

Even for primaries Color is far superior to Final Cut's tools, it may seem hard at first, but seriously it only takes a few hours until Color becomes second nature to you... if you do any grading, do yourself a massive favour and just buy this book, just like every other Apple Training book, it brings out your creativity and makes you remember why you decided to do work in this field in the first place!! its an official Apple book, and just like anything else made by Apple, the user experience is the most important factor in its design, this isn't some stuffy textbook, this is extremely digestible and very well made.

Sure you can get free online tutorials, but nothing beats a book on the table beside your monitor and actual project files and assets to work with, £30 is a small price to master the power Color affords you!
