I am thrilled!
The topic is quite daring- but what a read!!!

Though it started somewhat adagio in the beginning, after thirty or so pages it had become a real page turner. I just couldn't put it down. There's so much detailled historical atmosphere in setting and also in the writer's compelling voice, I virtually felt drawn into the year 4 BC. I could see and smell Rome and Jerusalem as they were then; and all the other places the Praetorian and the Vestalia travel through on their wild and thrilling hunt for the conspirators. As for the characters - WOW! The historical ones, like Augustus, King Herod, and Tiberius, come alive and are so much more than mere stooges for the fictional ones or only framework for the story. Never read a historical fiction delivering so much well-researched background and insight in these people, their motives and desires and the resulting events.

I was thrilled 'till the very last page- and enchanted. For in its own way, THE CHRIST is not only a masterpiece of historical conspiracy thriller, but also the most beautiful love story I ever read.

Outstanding stuff!
This is simply the best historical novel I've ever read! It took only a few pages to capture me in the story.The subject is excellent researched and transformed into a powerfully written book that leads u back to the time BC.

I met a King, priests, soldiers and a assassin. All that woven arround the birth of christ!

The Story is a skillful linkage of historical facts and fiction and shows a high level of sensitivity for the time and it's figures.

What a brain movie!!!
