DVD Description
Following a narrow escape from a British Embassy in Africa besieged by rioters, the lads relocate to the Australian Embassy in Laos for their next job. Whilst at work, after all their adventures, one by one the boys start realising there’s more to life than being part of their gang - a feeling brought into sharp focus after a letter arrives from Bomber telling them he’s swapping his trowel for a settled family life. On successfully completing the job, and sensing this could be the last time they’re all together, the boys make big plans for some rest and relaxation in Thailand. But it’s not long before events and a familiar enemy conspire against them, and rest and relaxation are a distant memory...

Synopsis
A letter from Bomber, explaining that he's decided to settle down for a family life, brings the unity of the gang into danger as, one by one, the lads realise that there's more to life. Their dream, however, is not as simple to attain as they might think...

Customer Reviews

Has it really been over 20 years?!5
I'd like to thank the writers and makers of one of the UK's best loved programmes. I have grown up with the characters of 'Auf Pet' (though can't quite believe it really has been over 20 years since the first episode) and the ending of this highly enjoyable two-part special was just perfect. The actors all looked as if they had a lot of fun making this final treat for their fans. Thanks to the talented actors who have given us such rich characters as Oz, Dennis, Neville, Barry, Moxey, Bomber, Wayne and Wyman. With the sad departure of Gary Holton (Wayne) and Pat Roach (Bomber) since the first show, I think that it's probably best to call it a day and depart on a high note. I have every episode on DVD now and on those occasions when I just need a pick-me-up, an episode of Auf Wiedersehen Pet is just the job.

Excellent. These lads never let me down.5
I loved it, as I have loved all of the series.
It's a great show that can have you laughing one minute, crying the next. The last scene takes us full circle and makes you think of all the years we've all spent in between, friends gone, things lost, a future still out there.
I just wish they the writers and actors would reconsider and keep doing more.
So please if anybody connected witht his marvellous show read this, please, please do more.
You still have it.
The fans still want more and need more.
We all need a good laugh and these guys are like family now.

An Ending to Savour5
I have been watching Auf Weidershen Pet since the day it was first show on TV and I felt it somewhat sad that the Special will be the last time that we see the "lads" doing what they do best, making us all feel good. For those Aufpet fans out there they could not have asked for a better ending to a absolutly wonderful series that has given them so much joy over the past 20 years.
