Best Alarm Clock Radio on the market nowadays
Before buying this alarm clock radio, I did a detailed research on the Internet. I intended to buy a Sony alarm clock radio, but I changed my mind after I saw this on Philips website. It's much better than Sony's models.

First of all, it has a stylish design. It displays weather forecast and indoor temperature which makes it superior to other alarm clock radios on the market. There are very few alarm clock radios with a digital tuner, and Philips AJ210 is one of them.

No need to look for an alarm clock radio anymore. Buy this one, you won't regret!

A lot more useful than it looks
I only bought this clock because I wanted a nice looking clock that was going to be accurate. This one is one of those radio controlled clocks that sets itself automatically, and it's very nice looking so I picked it up.

The weather aspect of it (the top left corner glows different colours for different weather, e.g. Red for Storms, blue for clouds, white for snow, orange for clear skies etc), wasn't a reason I bought it, but now it's the part I like the most. You put two AA batteries in a little box that you stick outside, and from the humidity and temperature the clock shows the predicted weather with different colours. This turned out to be really useful, waking up in the morning to the radio and seeing when you open your eyes if it's going to be an umbrella day or not.

And it looks very nice, the colours are bright and cast a nice light onto the clock, and the display is adjustably backlit which is handy for bedside lights.

Very nice clock/weather station, also very solid build quality. Def. recommended.

Can't Sleep BRIGHT
I bought this in December last year, but have had it unplugged practically since I bought it.
The reason is it is simply so bright! The screen itself has three light levels, bright, medium and off. Even medium light is enough to see around the room.
The real problem however, is the Weather indicator light in the corner. This is a nice gimmick , however the blue indicator which designates cloudy weather is almost bright enough to be able to read a book. Given the UK weather conditions, this is on practically all the time. In sunnier countries the orange light would be on which is much more subtle, and I could live with this.
I have now given up on using this and am looking at new bedside clocks.
If you need a dark room to fall asleep, I would suggest considering other products (incl Philips)above this.
