Works!
I've been a fan of Louise Solomon since the very first Yogalates DVD, and always look forward to the new one at the end of the year! Like the previous DVDs, the workouts on this one are clear and well-paced, featuring both advanced postures together with more basic versions, all shot in a pleasantly neutral white studio with no music (until the cool-down at the end), only Louise Solomon's gentle, genial voice.

However, the most important thing about this DVD is that it really does work - as long, of course, as you stick to it. Louise Solomon recommends 3 times a week, but it is rare that I can manage more than 2. Still, even with 2 a week I have noticed a distinct difference in the muscle tone of my thighs, stomach and arms in particular; I even have those little split bulges (I'm sure there's a technical term for them!) at the top of my shoulders! I'm also far more flexible than I was before, despite having practised different forms of yoga on and off for many years. I was able this year to sit cross-legged and lean forwards to wash my hair in a bucket of water at Glastonbury! All in all, these differences make you keen to continue using the DVD and definitely put a nice spring in your step. But I must stress - as long as you stick to it!

This DVD can be attempted by beginners, more experienced students and those like me, who fall somewhere in between. The use of the resistance band also means that as you improve, or inevitably become used to (or a bit bored by!) the DVD, you can make the workout harder for yourself by increasing the resistance on the band, and presto! - the workouts get a whole new lease of life. Certainly one of the best yoga vids out there - unpatronising, unmarred by plinky-plonky music, and anything that can help you flatten your stomach merely by breathing in a particular way has got to be good value. Can't wait for December!

Excellent Teaching
Louise Solomon's Yogalates Energizer is by far the best home use exercise DVD i have bought. Her teaching methods make "Yogalates" highly enjoyable and extremely easy to follow. If like me you have tried all the exercise videos out there, and still managed to feel unsatified in some way with it- Solomon's DVD completely changes this! I have found myself doing it every day even!
Highly recommended for a beginner like myself, and possibly intermediate also.

Yogalates Energizer
I Love love LOVE this workout,Louise Solomon gets straight to the point with no messing,you will need to buy your own pilates resistance bands though as these are used throughout both workouts and are not supplied with the dvd.My muscles feel used but not abused both during and after the workouts.Louise takes you form one thing to the next quickly and smoothly with excellent instructions making it very easy to follow. There is a bonus section on teaching you how to meditate. The relaxtion section at the end is fabulous. I am left feeling very relaxed happy and calm I would reccomend this dvd to anyone who wants to tone their whole body and work their inner core muscles which is perfect for prevnting injury but be warned it's not a walk in the park but the results are fantastic.I have the abdominal definition I have always wanted, my arms and legs are toned but not bulky and if this isn't enough I am a much calmer person to be around for which my husband is very very grateful!!!!ha ha.I have tried mamy different forms of excersice but nothing works and tones my body like this has done.
