A bit fragile ?
A good bin, but after approx 2 years of constant service - ( there are four of us in the house ), the whole lid hinge pivot fell apart !!!.
This is the second time i have had a problem with the bin - the catch that hold the lid down broke, BUT full marks to simple human,i contacted them about the problem & a new part was sent f.o.c in the post.

It would seem upon closer examination that the lid hinge is a weak link of the product.
I have contacted simply human about this latest isssue.

Nice bin but the lid is rubbish
Nice bin but the lid catch is rubbish, it has broken twice in two year (only 2 people using it)
A nice feature is you can take out of inner section when the bin is full rather then just the rubbish bag
This also allows you to hide the rubbish bags edges inside the bin so it always looks neat and tidy
