Customer Reviews

hello children everywhere4
A lovely set of 3 CD's which brought back my childhood of 60 years ago. Many of the tracks make excellent backing music for my family home video films with tune titles relevant to film subject. Really good value for money and good quality recording (according to my sound engineer son!)Children love it. Some tunes they don't know but the "catchiness" means they soon learn them as favourites. I thoroughly recommend it for its light hearted fun factor. Good entertainment in the car for tinies on long journeys.

Magical memories4
After hearing snippets off a radio programme, I could not get some of the tunes out of my head so I purchased the set and sat and listened to all three discs right the way through!
Surprising how many you remember all the words too!
I was transported back and was soon singing along to Gilly Gilly Ossenfeffer, The mouse on the stairs and when Morecambe & Wise started on Boom Pooh Yat tat tata, I couldn`t stop laughing just picturing them singing it.
Brilliant album that throws all the old favourites at you, you just cannot help but sing along with them at the top of your voice. Grandchildren now know all the words to "How much is that doggie" and always ask for it to be put on for a singalong.

British heritage5
My son bought this for my granddaughter, who is 6 years old, for Christmas.I loved it when I heard it because it includes songs from my own childhood e.g. "I'm a pink toothbrush". The family moved to USA 18 months ago (my son in law is American) and my grandchildren are naturally absorbing American culture with, to my ears, American accents, and using words like "jump rope" for "skipping rope". When I visited in May it was great to hear that amongst all the typically American stuff the children have I CD playing in the SUV and another playing in the bedroom when they go to bed. Quite incongruous, but great to hear a very English version of "Teddy bears picnic" belting out ensuring that the children don't forget the British part of their hetitage!
