An easy way to get cleaner water
If you have any concerns about the taste or appearance of your tap water then a Brita Water Filter is a good, easy and relatively cheap solution. There is a wide variety of jugs available in different sizes, shapes and colours to suit your family needs and kitchen colour-scheme. The Maxtra cartridge is the latest design of cartridge and works very well with the newer jugs. It simply slots into the jug and only requires one filling and emptying of water before it is ready to use. The jugs have a gauge to tell you when the cartridge needs replacing (they recommend approx once per month) but I usually let if go for longer without any apparent ill effects.

I find that the filters make the water taste better and give a "shinier" appearance. They also remove the scum which can appear on top of cups of tea and coffee particularly if you live in a hard water area. I filter all drinking and cooking water.

They do not claim to remove all impurities or heavy metals so if you are really paranoid about water purity you would have to go for an extremely expensive reverse osmosis plumbed-in system.

The cartridges are widely available and sometimes come in special offer packs with some cartridges free so it is worth shopping around and buying a special offer pack when you see one.

I don't believe I can say much about this product.

Its a water filter cartridge. Easy to handle and instal and change.
Shop around Amazon for better prices. There are so many different package options
to choose from.
