Casio - You never look back from a Wave Ceptor! 5
There was a time when a Casio watch was synonymous with a rather cheap, gaudy, digital watch that kept fairly decent time, sometimes had some eye catching displays but was definitely not top drawer.

Not only has that changed over the last few years but in my opinion they have moved way up the food chain. In some respects for me they are now the top of the pile, producing better watches than most other companies, why?

It's simple, they have a good eye for a killer application and Wave Ceptor is it. What are the three things you want out of a watch? Accuracy, good looks and flexible features. Casio are delivering on all three fronts.

I would have to admit to currently owning several watches, but my favourites are my two wave Ceptors, because I KNOW any time that I look at them they won't be more than a second off perfect time keeping!

I have a great Seiko Kinetic and Citizen Eco-Drive (both costing far more than a Casio Wave Ceptor) but I only wear them now and then for the simple reason that I know the Casio keeps PERFECT time. In fact I set my other watches by the Casio before I wear them!

Casio are ahead of the game with radio controlled watches, you can't currently get a more accurate watch, whatever you pay.

This Casio Edifice watch is stunningly accurate, gorgeous to look at (the pictures really don't do it justice) and it is feature packed.

The only reason you might buy another brand is because you particularly love the look of another watch, you are a slave to brand name peer pressure or have specialist needs.

A gushing review of the technology and the watch I admit, but it IS that good.

    A great watch5
Received this recently and as the other reviewer says, it looks great, not too big and certainly not too heavy. The watch is surprising easy to use and set up, I spent about 20mins setting it how I wanted it, and hey presto it just works !! You do need to spend a little time reading the manual as it is not totally obvious what buttons to press, but it is clear once you take the time to read it.

I travel a lot on business and so this has been great for changing time zones etc. All in all a great purchase and a great watch.

    Beautiful watch - great price5
This is a very attractive watch and very classy ! I had been looking at the pro trek range, but they are apparently pretty enormous and don't really look good enough for smart day to day use - office etc.

Although this watch does not have all the features of a pro trek (no altimeter etc) - it does feel chunky and looks very expensive. It is battery rather than solar, but apparently there can sometimes be problems with the solar batteries anyway.

The watch strap is stainless steel which looks far better than a resin or plastic strap (but you have to pay to have a link or 2 removed so it fits OK). The wave ceptor feature is good fun and quite useful - I love to see the analogue hands gliding round by themselves to match up with the digital read out and signal.

All in all a very good looking and smart/expensive-looking watch at a quite reasonable price. I have been wearing it with pride and flashing it about a bit like a piece of expensive jewellery. Respect due !!
