    One heck of a watch4
Don't be under any misconceptions that this is a small dainty watch. It isn't. It carries quite a heft, and compared to my Fossil Arkitect, it's larger in diameter, chunkier in depth, and of course heavier.

But I absolutely LOVE it! This is the ionised metal version (also known as the "Ion-Plated Twist"), which the picture on amazon doesn't really do justice. It has quite a dark steel appearance, which contrasts well with the different shades in the dial. I preferred this to the black-faced varient which has the lighter metal strap and surround as I thought it looked a lot classier.

I've had to have 3 links removed for it to fit my slender wrist - more gym time is needed I think. But the watch-man I took it to was very impressed with it, and although they sold a limited range of Fossil watches, he said he had never seen one like this before. He also stated that the pins in the strap were good quality as they pass all the way through the strap and lock into place, which he implied was something not commonly seen.

The watch itself keeps good time, and has a second-hand in a separate dial on the left. The upper dial shows the date, and the lower dial shows the 24hour time. There are two exposed areas on the left of which the upper one shows watch movement (which is simulated and has no actual bearing on the timekeeping of the watch, but I don't care because I like it), and the lower one shows the coil to represent the amount of kinetic charge it has. If you are constantly wearing the watch, the coil will be tightly wound. If you leave the watch off for a day or so, the coil will have unwound. According to the manual, the "Twist" innovation unique to these watches are that the timekeeping element of it is actually battery-powered, but the visual mechanics are "automatic" to give you an authentic look.

The tin it comes delivered in is somewhat basic and disappointing, considering the high-style of the watch contained within, and the instruction manual is poor as it contains very brief instructions on various Fossil watch types, and doesn't really cover this particular watch or give you any sense of occasion.

All-in-all, it's a stunning-looking watch. Perhaps a little on the large-side, but it's a real classy piece of visual design which I feel is one of the best watches I have seen for a long time. Some may feel a little cheated by the fact that it's actually battery-powered, given the visible mechanics, but I think it's a good compromise.

4 stars - would be 5 if it were a fraction smaller but if you have bigger wrists as I hope to soon, you may rate it 5 stars.

    Feel let down3
Already owning a Fossil watch I was extremely disappointed to find I could not set the watch acurately due to the automatic second dial which only winds up when you wear it.
£125.00 is a lot for a watch that cannot be synchronised.

    Total let down2
Please dont go on this image. This watch did not match my expectations at all. It is too HUGE and BIG. The belt is pathetic.
