A fine Wellington - well worth the price
At the time I bought these Wellingtons, they were only £6 so I wasn't expecting much.

So far these have proved to be perfectly good and there is no evidence of their cheapness.

The tread on the sole is deep and grips well in soft ground (what they were intended for) but can be a little slippy on a smooth surface like wet wood. The sole isn't all that shock absorbing and you would start to feel the steps if you walked on solid ground for any length of time (but normally you wouldn't be doing this in Wellingtons). However the size is generous enough for you to wear a second thick pair of socks which helps mitigate this.

The boots are well insulated and I was able to stand in water and hardly noticed a change in temperature.

One of the best pair of wellies I've ever owned
At first I um'ed and ah'ed about buying these - surely they can't be very good for such a low price?

After several weeks of walking the dog daily during some of the worst weather that we've had this year it turns out that these are about the best pair of wellington boots that I've ever bought!

Often when you buy wellingtons you'll find that the sole is a bit thin and the grip isn't very good - these have a good meaty sole that will last for years.
The uppers are well made from good quality rubber and offer enough flex to be comfortable.

Lord knows with the weather we've being having recently you need a good pair of wellington boots, and these are about the best that you'll buy at any price.

Very comfortable, but they have a very strong plastic smell!!

They are very comfortable and a bargain for the price. The only thing is that they have a really strong over powering plastic smell. Whatever room you put them in, they make the whole room stink. Its not too bad when your wearing them, although, I was at a festival so maybe the toilets over powered them!
