Be aware - NOT for Induction Cooking
Ordered this item last week, and was subsequently told by a friend that this particular stockpot is NOT suitable for INDUCTION COOKING. Please note all "chefs" out there or you may also be disappointed. Otherwise it would have fitted the bill very nicely (size, style etc.).

Soup Godsend
I use this for soup, only soup mind.

It makes a good soup. Oh yes.

5 stars for soup, I dunno how well it cooks lesser foodstuffs.

I bought this pot for making stews and soups. I needed a pot that could go on top of hob and into oven. I am more than pleased with its performance. The clear glass lid is fantastic for when you open the oven and just have a peek at the food. My only criticism is that its is huge (maybe not a bad thing), which is great if i am cooking a huge pot of soup or stew for all the family. If you are thinking of purchasing this pot and its only for 2 of you, then i would recommend the smaller stockpot, it holds 5.7L instead of 7.6L. The smaller pot is Anolon advanced not Anolon professional but they are more or less exactly the same.
