Chunky Munky
I've had this Cuisinart kettle for over 3yrs so it's not the newest model BUT it is the longest I've owned a kettle that still looks/works as good as the day it was bought. We live in a moderately hard water area and I use one of those proprietary sachets of blue liquid limescale remover every 2-3 months and at the same time give it a good clean on the outside. It is very well made from solid stainless steel + black slightly gritty-feel plastic, feels robust, looks good and, although my 3yr guarantee has expired I am not expecting problems anytime soon. I prefer the look of this model because I like the squat chubby-jug-type look and it pours really well - even my eighty-something mother has no problems with it.
The following measurements are approximate: The 360 degree base (mine has Cuisinart in white on one side) which I swivel to the back, is 19cm, the actual kettle bottom 17cm the top slimming to 11.5cm with the handle protruding another 5cm out from the side so overall the width extends to 24cm at the handle, it is 22cm tall dropping to 20cm where it meets the start of the handle. It holds a max of 1.5L but can boil just a cup, and the readout is centrally underneath the handle with the measurements both left/right. The on/off switch has two lights for left/right reading as well. The lid opens via a slide spring trigger which sits comfortably just above where you tend to grab the handle and inside the element is concealed and there is a good quality mesh filter. Oops nearly forgot - the underneath of the base also has the obligatory cord wind.
