Customer Reviews

Best Home Blender ever!5
Having been in the catering business for some 20 years, I have worked with a number of different commercial blenders costing anything from £150 to over £1000. In fact I have never found a home blender that would crush ice to such a smooth and creamy consistency before! This blender is without a doubt the best on the market and is a bargin at this price. If you like making great smoothies, thick milkshakes or frozen cocktails this is the blender for you!

Excellent addition to any kitchen5
I chose this model over other because of the glass jug and ability to handle ice cubes. I wasn't disappointed and my Braun blender has now produced fruit smoothies, frozen margaritas, daquiris and soups all in it's first few weeks.

I'm not sure the large range of speeds is a necessity, but the performance is great. Even if you have a decent food processor, the blender still comes into it's own.

Longer-term use1
This blender appears at first to be well-designed and does a good job at blending almost anything. However, after a few months use at best you discover that the drive mechanism spindle that provides the drive from the motor to the blades detaches itself from the black plastic molding in the base unit and the blades stop rotating.

I have had two of these and they both went the same way. This is a clear design weakness fault and I am amazed that Braun are still selling this product. It is complete rubbish. If you don't believe me have a look at the reviews on Amazon.com where the model has been on sale for much longer.
