Easy, peasy no more stuck on bits
The whole range of Analon pans are superb. I used this pan for stewing gooseberries last night and the 'phone went at a crucial time. I got most of the berries out but there was a burnt crust on the bottom of the pan. I let it go cold and then soaked it overnight. This morning the crust on the bottom just came out when I rinsed the pan. A dry, clean pan when I had finished was returned to the cupboard. Expensive - yes but they will last me the rest of my life (I am well over 50) and probably that of my children and grandchildren.
All that glitters is not necessarily non-stick
I too would have written a glowing review about these saucepans. They performed brilliantly but after a year the outer Anolon coating began to disappear. Not a problem, as they have a lifetime warranty. I contacted Meyer via e mail, returned the two saucepans which were losing their coating only to have them returned with a letter telling me that I had put them in a dishwasher and the warranty did not cover this. Well, this is the 21st century and one might expect that you no longer wash pans by hand. Meyer make great play of Raymond Blanc using their pans at his Restaurant, le Manoir. He puts them in a dishwasher; I have seen his kitchen at first hand. Customer Services at Meyer just wanted to wash their hands (no pun) of the issue. They expect their pots to be handwashed. Note that the sales pitch on Amazon does not mention this. My advice find pans for the same price that are dishwasher safe. Buy these meyer pans at your peril!
