Customer Reviews

Funky, Fast, *Mini* Dose Of Fun!5
This is the 6-track version from the album titled Doll Domination. While there is a 10-track version also, this one manages to have variations and omissions that some may find more to their liking. The entire listening experience is of fast, highly paced energetic music with a mixture of elements ranging from dance, pop, to even hip-hop at times and a ballad.

The Missy Elliott track titled, "Whatcha Think About That" is not on the 10-track for those who enjoy her rap skills. This version omits the Explicit Snoop Dogg song "Bottle Pop", "Taking Over The World", "I'm Done", and "Halo". The Pussycat Dolls although not keeping their trend of cover songs on all tracks they manage to put "I Will Survive" clips on the track titled, "Hush Hush; Hush Hush" which is one of my favorites. Also quite funky and glamorous is "Jai Ho (You Are My Destiny)" for it's Middle Eastern flares and bouncy beats.

Excellent hook songs aside "Jai Ho (You Are My Destiny)" would be "When I Grow Up", the soft subtle slow "I Hate This Part" and the heavily energetic "Painted Windows". Most of the themes are on the lines of bringing inspirations, empowering lyrics, while combining dance elements and fast beats. The CD comes housed in a nice digi-booklet type that opens up not a jewel case.

If you enjoy dance music with some pop, hip-hop and funky then this won't disappoint. While not their absolute best in terms of catchy cover songs the Pussycat Dolls manage to still maintain much super fast paced beats that are neither boring nor bland but rather highly energetic, catchy, infectious and definitely fantastic. While there are many different versions available if you are unsure whether to buy the album this will give you a great mini sample to test. Overall, I definitely find this to be entertaining and fun!
