Amazon.co.uk Review
Famous for her bestselling book Rosemary Conley's Complete Hip and Thigh Diet and many other exercise and diet tapes, Rosemary Conley is such an established name in the fitness business that you know that any video from her won't be faddy, but based on solid research that definitely works. There are no fancy clothes and visual tricks here, and the only "prop" you'll need is a solid dining chair for the abdominal section.

We are taken straight into the exercise studio where Conley acts as our instructor, describing the moves in a calm, clear voice. The exercises that promise to burn up our surplus flab are divided into five 10-minute sessions, followed by body conditioning and a cool-down. She recommends doing one session each day, with a day off every four days, so as not to overdo things. The idea is to step up our level of fitness gradually, until we can fit the sessions together into one mammoth workout. The people accompanying Conley on the video have all successfully lost weight with her programme. Conley reminds us of this at carefully spaced intervals--"Hayley lost five and a half stone"--to give us a goal and keep us at it. We are instructed to keep our eyes on the individual whose exercise level best suits our own. So we can leap along with Annette, or march with Debbie.

Conley packs many different movements into each session, so you really do feel as if you're working the whole of your body. But be warned, some moves are more difficult than they look, so make sure you clear a big enough space in the living room, and put breakables and the dog out of harm's way! The menu planner at the end is introduced with sensible information and deliciously piled plates, reminding us that, though we may be on a diet, we certainly don't need to starve. --Lorna Read

Good, solid workout suitable for all levels5
I would certainly have to disagree with my fellow reveiwer from Iceland. I am 30 and would certainly not consider myself "old" or out of shape. As someone who has been enjoying the benefits of exercise since the age of 16, I would have to say the the Five Day Fat Burner is a great workout for all ages and all levels of fitness. Granted, the workout can be made much easier if you break it down into its individual sections, this being ideal for those people who are new to exercise or those who have limited time. However, when all five sections are done as a whole, they provide a good aerobic workout and some solid body conditioning. I consider myself to be reasonably fit and this workout challenges me aerobically and also leaves me suitably sweaty and flushed! The good thing about this workout, as with all RC workouts, is that there is always a member of RC's team showing a different workout level, so you can keep the level low if you are new to exercise or want an easier day, or really take the level up by adding jumps and high impact moves if you are more advanced.

the complete fitness video5
For me, this exercise video was very good. I like the way the class is broken up into low, medium and high difficulty levels and you are given the option of doing a mini workout or a mega workout (if you've got time on your hands). Works the parts of the body that count, and contains some really handy low fat cooking techniques. More importantly, it's not boring and encourages you to try harder. I can definitely see myself doing this about 2 to 3 times a week without giving up!.

Solid Workout That Really Works!4
No so-called 'trendy' settings, no pumping base - just good old fashioned aerobics and toning that really do the job. I am 23 and fit - I work out for about an hour a day. But I find that if I work out at the highest level, and combine the mini workouts into one, I am really sweating by the end of the aerobic section. I like the toning sections too - they are interesting to do and make a nice change from the boring sit-ups I usually do every morning!

But you could manage this even if you were quite overweight or unused to exercise (as I was a year ago!) The mini workouts are a good introduction to exercise and like most Rosemary Conley workouts, you can follow the person who best suits your level of fitness. Those working at the lower levels do quite a gentle workout which I think would give you confidence and keep you motivated without exhausting you.

This is one of my favorite workout DVDs and I recommend it for all ages and levels of fitness.
