Good enough
I brought these for a recent camping trip as I knew I couldnt use my usual GHDs due to no plug sockets. It took me a few goes to get them to actually work the first time round but after this first go they worked fine every time. They dont take too long to heat up either which is good and they do get very hot! Lightweight and easy to carry around too and the gas cartridge that came with it lasted me the 3 or 4 times I used them on this trip and I still have some left.

I have short hair but it is very thick and can still take a while to straighten as I have to do it in so many sections. They didnt give me as straight a finish as my GHDs do but I could see a difference in the side that I had used them on and the side I hadnt yet. They are certainly better than nothing and I would use them again on a camping trip.

I did catch the end of my hair slightly which did pull but that is down to technique I imagine and not a major concern to me. Gas refills are easy to get your hands on to as well.

Disappointing
I bought this item to save me lugging my electric straightners around in my overnight bag. I immediately tested them after purchase, only to find that they failed to straighten my fine,wavy hair. In addition to this, the info accompanying the item states that they heat up in 3 minutes - it took substantially more than this, and consequently used quite a bit of the gas canister. I eventually returned them. These straightners would be useful for a quick 'redo' of already straightened hair, but frankly, they just aren't up to the job.

Disappointing
I just bought these straightners as Im attending a festival and there isn't any electric points. I have tested them and they fail to straighten my hair even though its only wavy, they don't get hot enough and take around 5 mins to get to their max heat. They don't do what they say on the tin!
