Fantastic
Ordered this through Amazon earlier this week after months of research and deliberation between this and various other machines, flitting between a ASPIRE D150, DELL Mini 10 or 12, MSI wind and then back to the ASUS. I finally decided on either the 1000he or the NC10 opting for the 1000he (mainly because it was newer, and there weren't any customer reviews :) Having always previously had a full size laptop i was keen to try something different and this net book does not disappoint. I was looking for a machine that would be as similar to a top end full size laptop as possible. I was looking for a full size laptop, it would need to be pretty indestructible ,with decent battery life, good keyboard and track pad, good size hdd and a decent processor. The 1000he ticks all those boxes its tiny, easy to use quick and well designed. The only disappointment is it doesn't come with a Linux option and there is no 3g sim card slot. Though you cant get everything and what you do get for your money is pretty darn close to perfect.

If you are looking for a small, portable and versatile machine take a closer look at this tool. There are several competing models and I spent some time researching the pros & cons. EeePC, a Dutch brand I was unfamiliar with, and at first cautious about, after 6 weeks use, I can now recommend it. I can say the same about the Intel Atom processor. Screen is good, buttons not too small, all works just fine. The mouse pad has a good feel to it and some clever trickery to zoom in and out, with finger gestures

So far,only a couple of minor glitches. I noticed the hybrid storage can be temperamental( you get free online storage, useful for automatic back up) , though probably due to spurious web connectivity when on the move. The 'OneDayComputing' 9.5 hour boast is an exaggeration but 6 to 7.5 hours is no mean feat, and many other pc's will huff&puff after 2-3 hours. I do not use a PC for media hungry applications and within this caveat, this PC can do everything easily as well as the tower.

A small PC, the lack of an internal CD drive is a calculated omission. Mostly it is not a great problem with downloaded software. When the download is large , or plain unavailable, this can be limiting - I decided to invest in an extra slim CD/DVD reader/writer, and I have had no regrets.

Blue tooth and WAN functionality all work well. I upgraded, at the time of purchase, and installed a 2RAM memory card. Very easy to do, and, in my case only a little to worry about. This does not reflect on the PC but rather the lack of good instructions supplied with the card upgrade. I did not see any improvement after installation and after much searching found the PC still read only 1RAM. Found a very helpful PC 'doctor' online - to get the PC to read the installation it is necessary, on boot up, to press F8 and enter the settings. From this screen you can save the memory settings, After that all is good. It is possible this is not required in all cases, but, if you want to upgrade you may want to check. I am sure the 2RAM memory speeds up the workings though I cannot say I have noticed this in general use i.e. Office/Email etc.

I bought the PC in England and took it with me to the US - a simple adapter allows you to hook it up to the mains socket. Thankfully electronics now regularly, accommodate a 110-220 volt range.

This product is really the Bee's Knees,it was the N0:1 in a top ten independant review that I stumbled on, on the internet,and boy does it live up to it's number one spot.The keyboard is very user friendly,the touchpad is even better,but above all the Battery life is superb.I have used it up to eleven hours before it gave the low battery warning,Asus only claim 9.5 houres.
This is a superb Netbook,I am very pleased I bought it, and I can recommend it to anyone that wants a number one Product.
