Perfect for Boeuf Bourguignon

Simply brilliant - this versatile Casserole Dish/Cocotte is ideal for all sorts of recipes and my current favourite in this size 'pot' is the aforementioned 'Boeuf Bourguignon', starting on the hob and finishing off in the oven.
Cast iron retains heat longer than any other cooking material so it is ideal for even braising at the lowest of temperatures and is, therefore, VERY economical, too.

Dishwasher safe .....but remarkably easy to wash up, by hand, too - although some soaking may be required for those more stubborn baked-on remains!

Also available in a ROUND version, e.g. 26 cm

once in a lifetime purchase
It doesn't not come cheap, but it's worth every penny. I use it all the time, it's indestructible, doesn't fear the dishwasher and looks pretty good
I soooooo recommend it.

quality you would expect
I first used le creuset products at catering college over 20 years ago and did not really appreciate the quality but have over the years tried a number of different brands that have failed to last.
this one however remains number 1 in my book i just can't fault this brand, it will last a life time. I used to collect the orange range as this was the first that was available to me and I do still like, although I now like the black range and this dish is great you can use it anywhere on the range cooker an it looks good too.
