    What is it with designers?4
I purchased this oven based on many good reviews, and to be honest, as microwaves go, it does what it says on the tin. It's efficient, powerful, quite clever with auto settings, and great value for money.

    However...
It's the stupid little things on this that drive you totally mad, which is why I'm writing this review in the first place, in the hope that those clever little Japanese people actually listen:
The buttons are in a stupid order, going from low to high, but with the defrost button smack in the middle. The amount of times I hit the wrong one is infuriating. The other annoyance is I use the stand button quite a lot, during cooking, and occasionally just as a timer for other things. If I cook say, "high" I press the tens/minutes buttons and set the time. However, when set to stand, the same buttons set hours/tens. WHY!!!??
What a totally cr*p piece of thinking. Buttons should be set to do a function, not arbitrarily move around according to what mode you are in.
Come on Panasonic. Use your heads and stop designing by committee.

Apart from that, great engineering let down by shoddy ergonomics.

    Good Value (extra info)4
Had this for around 8 months, no problems. Pleased with the stainless steel interior makes for easier cleaning and looks good too. The only slightly disconcerting thing is that after the cooking time has elapsed the fan keeps running, so it sounds like it is still microwaving. This is by design to cool the internal components, so it's completely safe, just when it happened the first time I was a little unsure whether to put my hands inside. Like I said, completely safe - the display says "open door" and my hands haven't been cooked at all.

    Item broke after 2 years1
We were quite happy with the product for a couple of years. Liked the baked potato funtion and ease of use however, ultimately the product broke just after the warranty expired leaving us with having to make another purchase soon after. I would not recommend this item to a customer. Panasonic offered local repair services however the charges associated with this offer was too expensive and quite a lot of hassle with uncertain results. We'll now buy a different product.
