Worth the counter space5
Another kitchen gadget? Yes! But one which is well worth the counter space. In the last month I've only used my main oven for Sunday family dinners! The rice and pasta settings produce fluffy rice and al dente pasta without thinking about it; the slow cooker aspect is wonderful; the recipe book provided gives basic settings which you can then adapt to your own recipes too. The only thing I haven't tried yet is the cake making as I'm trying not to have cake in the house! But I'm sure that will work too. Food cooked in an Intellichef keeps its flavour, without adding too many calories - less oil etc.
Great purchase!

Great machine, pity the poor instructions and recipes5
I bought this 10 days ago and I'm very happy with it.
I believe the original version comes to Spain where it's very popular (and one of many similar appliances). It's also used in France and Italy, with different names in each country.

It's very versatile and I've used it for soups, rice, pasta, chicken breasts, curry.
Unfortunately the instructions are very basic, and the recipes not that good (mainly translated from the Spanish version, not many British staples...).
The machine is capable of cooking almost everything, but it's all hit and miss to start with, until you understand how it works. For example the reheating programme is much better for pan-cooking chicken breasts than the fry programme.
The chicken in the curry was tasty and moist. The pasta was very good (except the spaghetti were a bit rubbery, not suited to the absorption cooking method).

I have not tried the slow cooking function, which is what I had purchased the machine for, but considering that there is 24hr timer I will not use it that much, as I will not need to cook food for 10hrs to have it ready in the evening.

Great machine, highly recommended. Pity the poor instructions and recipes, but still 5 stars for this incredible machine, nothing like this in Britain!

It is indeed very intelligent. The rice was superb but I wish there were more recepies available, especially basic cooking ones, that I could use as a very young, time short, "chef".
