Worth Every Penny!
I can honestly say that this product has changed my life, in more ways than one. Not only has it resulted in me changing my dietary habits but by following the 'detox' program in the juicing book that came with the product, it has also 'cured' the chronic inflammation I had been suffering in one of my knees for more than a year, something that only prescribed medication was keeping at bay prior to me buying this Juicer. And generally, I have more energy, have lost weight, and feel fitter and healthier than I have in years, leading to the add on benefit of my enjoying the sports I regularly play even more. Yes, as with all juicers, it's a pain having to clean the different parts of the machine, but the benefits you get to your overall health, its well worth that little inconvenience. In many ways it defies logic. For example, who would think you could get so much juice out of such vegetables as a sweet potato! And that's just part of the fun, seeing juice just pour out of the machine! I would recommend this Juicer to any one looking to improve their diet/health regime. Even the price I can't fault. There may be cheaper ones on the market but I doubt they do what this little baby can, and even though their are more expensive models out there, unless they can give you just as much juice from AND wash the parts for you, stick with this one!

Not as good as 1861!
I was a happy juicer with my Philips 1861 pro alu juicer for 3 years until the motor gave out. I thought I'd go up a notch, assuming that this £50 pricier model would have a larger motor and be a step up. Not the case. The motor is the same so the super-large feeding tube is just too large to cope, and you end up having to push much harder. In addition, they've added a 'drip stop' function where you can raise the exit funnel to stop juice drips. Sadly this means the fit isn't as tight and the machine occasionally splurges on the counter. I have sent mine back, regretfully, and will probably go back to the 1861 or find another manufacturer. Sigh...

Excellent Juicer
A very easy to use, easy to clean (infact all detachable parts can be cleaned in a dishwasher but hand wash is also pretty easy. It extracts juice with 2 speeds. Lower setting for smaller and less hard fruits and a higher setting for much harder with thick pulp (apples etc.). I prefer to make juice at home and the taste difference is remarkable when compared to juices avilable in tetra pak . The colour and feel of the product is nice. It may appear slightly pricey at first but I think this juicer is very robust and Philips have done a good job in making a easy use product.
