Prepare to Be Discombobulated...
A treasury of words no sane human being is likely to need, and which everyone should use every so often to make the world that bit more varied, this is one of those books you browse through for ages, happy until you realise it's three in the morning and you ought to be asleep. It's handy for discombobulating tutors and criticising comstocks, and probably educational in some form or other. Language is fun. This proves it.
No Cure For Curiosity...
I first came across this book at a Nick Cave exhibition at the West Australain Museum and thought "that looks curious and interesting" so i tracked it down eventually and now a few months down the line i've realised that the power of the word is incomparable whilst being very simple, whilst being completely inscruitable...
In 40 years i'll still be getting something out of this collection - i really do think that...
