Dry feet are comfortable feet
Karrimor use waterproof, breathable membranes in its footwear to keep water from entering whilst allowing water vapour (sweat) to escape. Even while sitting still over eight hours, your feet will sweat the equivalent to a one-quarter cup of water. During even gentle exercise, this can be greatly increased. Wet feet blister, and feel cold and uncomfortable. The membranes Karrimor uses, allows water vapour to escape, leaving feet dry and comfortable.

Fit and last shape
The Karrimor last is generally recognised as a higher-volume last; which means the fit feels wider –- more akin to the British and European foot shape. Karrimor sells boots and shoes in full and half sizes to ensure a goods fit. Karrimor recommends wearing the boots around the house to ensure they fit well before wearing them outside.

Outsole
Karrimor use durable outsoles that provide high levels of grip. Karrimor uses Vibram outsoles on all its models, which are widely recognised as the market leader in outdoor footwear outsoles. Vibram outsoles can be replaced when they do finally wear out. Many of the Vibram outsoles used are exclusive designs Karrimor has developed with Vibram -– exclusive to Karrimor designs and last.

Not bad
Bought these for around £100 18 months ago and overall I'm quite impressed.

It took me probably 60-70 miles to break them in properly which is a fair bit longer than I would've liked and made for some painful walking, but since then they have been very comfortable.

As would be expected they are completely waterproof, so far I have walked several hundred miles in them and the waterproof and breathability aspects of performance are absolutely faultless - you will only get wet feet from water overflowing into the ankles.

I am not one for looking after boots properly so shouldn't complain that the leather outer is looking a bit tired (not that this bothers me). What is slightly concerning is that the leather sock is showing possible signs of coming away from the sole - so I am not completely trusting of these boots and now carry spare trainers on climbs as emergency replacements! I stress though I am not sure this is actually a problem, it just looks suspicious!

All in all not a bad buy - there seems to be two ranges of Karrimor these days, an awful cheap imitation to sell in certain sports shops, and this decent enough range for the more serious outdoor retailers.

Dissapointed yet again by Karrimor
I have had Karrimor boots before and had to return them because the eyelets came off so when I saw these boots I was a bit apprehensive but I thought that they were a good price so I decided to take the plunge and purchase.True to previous form , I took them away for the weekend and the minute I put them on and tightened the laces out came an eyelet !
I have just packaged them up and they are now waiting to be collected and returned to Amazon. Shoddy,badly made rubbish.

KSB does it again
A good light solid boot thats very comfortable, with an extremely flexible sole, but does not have the ankle support of other more expensive boots. Deemed to be waterproof, as yet not tested. I have spent a couple of good days walking on Scottish moorland with no problems. Ideal for people with wide feet. I will buy KSB everytime.
