Good but chipped
I recieved my order promptly, but as with other reviewers, two of the lids were chipped. This order was to replace my old pyrex dishes, which had done me very well for many many years.

The chips would appear to have been due to the packaging within the original pyrex box - which appeared inadequate for mail order. Most of the seperation of the glass items was by single sheets of brown paper and in my view this was not enough to protect the lids in particular from damage. There were shards of glass inside both the box and the casserole dishes.

As it was only lids that were damaged, the functionality of my order has not been affected - and in all other respects I am very pleased with my order.

However I would suggest that suppliers of this product improve the packaging within the pyrex box before shipping.

I was happy enough with the purchase and the only blemish on the product
was a chip to the lid of one off the casserole dishes. I could have sent it back but I would have to pay the return postage.So I decided to keep it as the chip did not affect the use of the article.

These Pyrex glass casseroles are a must in any kitchen. They are versatile - they can be used both in the oven and in the microwave (but not over a bare flame!) and are dishwasher proof. They can be put in the fridge. They are neat in appearance and could be used for serving directly at table. During cooking their contents can be observed without taking the lid off, because they are transparent. Being made from toughened glass they are very durable - I have been using one in the kitchen for at least 30 years, and it is still in excellent condition. I use it almost every day. This is a good opportunity to secure a set of 3 different sizes at a bargain price, and I recommend them to anyone who is without them.
