    Kenwood 2 slice Toaster4
This toaster bought for 80+ lady for xmas.Toaster is superb, toasts perfectly without burning, all controls to the front for ease, illuminated buttons to the left of machine, very easy to see and use. Black heat control knob on right is not so easy to see, small black numbers on the polished steel make it difficult to read. Overall an excellent product.

    Another bad toaster1
Sigh. When will I find a toaster that actually works....and keeps working? This is my second toaster this year. It started off working just fine, but now it randomly incinerates my bagel, no matter what the setting. Or the pop-up feature stops working when you desperately need it, so that you have to wrestle the push-down mechanism to get your burning breakfast bread free. Oy. Enough is enough. I'm starting to feel guilty about all the metal and plastic I am adding to our local landfill.

    Seemed nice at first.2
I bought this toaster on special at Sainsbury's. I really liked the look and was pleased with the extra functions (defrost, for example). I was slightly miffed that most of the breads I buy don't quite fit into the toaster, so that whatever pokes out the top doesn't get toasted. Then again, I don't eat much toast.

Then we had our children's school friends visiting, and they wanted toast as a snack. After the third use, the toaster repeatedly tripped the circuit breaker for the entire house. It wasn't just the circuit the toaster was on, it was the main circuit breaker. After four attempts, I gave up. Two days later, the family wanted hot cross buns. Again, on the third bun, it tripped the main circuit breaker.

I hope Sainsbury's will give me a refund.
