Product Description
EASILY REMOVE ODORS FROM YOUR CLOTHES, LINENS, UPHOLSTERY, BEDS, PILLOWS... The Tobi will save you the time and expense of going to the cleaners. It will pay for itself in no time and end up saving you money. It uses only tap water no chemicals. One tank full of water provides a half hour of steam and when it''s done just fill it up again. It will never burn or scorch your clothes like and iron. Steam is the gentlest and safest way to remove wrinkles. The Tobi plumps up the fibers in for clothes rather then flatten them like an iron. The Tobi heats up quickly - just 30 second.

Amazingly strange concept
I bought this as I have a tiny flat and hate ironing boards - they either have to be left open all day or placed away. I rather do neither. Tobi is a good substitute although I think the manufacturers should perhaps include a mittin that is steam proof so you can wear it on one hand and steam the material using the mittined hand to support the steam hose all the way down. The bottom of the garments get left out and you are always tempted to use your hand to hold it - not a very pleasant experience. (have the phone handy for emergencies)- or a bulldog clip that is large enought to hold the end of the garment perhaps? The other thing that is annoying is you place the garment on the hanger and start steam and the garment is all over the place. The hand gadget mentioned above would help it a lot! I like the product and I have seen it used at fashion shows and cat walks but I can see myself burning my hand on every occasion - if the manufacturer is reading this and you invent said mitten - contact me please I will place my order.
Tobi or not Tobi
I bought the Tobi because I thought it would speed up the ironing chore (which I hate). I was very disappointed. DON'T buy this to do your every day ironing. It is good on T-shirts, sweat-shirts etc., curtains & upholstery, items that you would otherwise take to the dry-cleaner. As for the rest of the laundry, I prefer to stick to my steam iron. Conclusion: Buy as an addition to your iron not a replacement.
Not as bad as I thought
I received this item today with some reservation having read negative reviews, I have just steamed two formal shirts , three polo shirts and two sports tops tops in about 15mins.
There are some problems , the formal shirts are not as good as when ironed but with practice I think could get close , steaming from the inside got rid of some difficult creases the polo shirts turned out great and as for the sports tops no shiny iron marks and easy peasy
No leaks I can see and my hose has a black tubing cover that stops one getting burnt, less room needed than an ironing board and easy to just switch on and go in 30 a minute.
The only thing that is annoying is the pole it's too short I'm 5'11 can only assume used small actors in the ads and the pole wobbles about a bit , easier to hang garments on a door and put unit on a chair which works fine.
I also bought the travel steamer, but on receiving a bit large, thought would be less bulky , handy if going for a long weekend in UK not sure would want to cart one in a suitcase abroad, but having said that steaming ones t-shirts probably would give a couple of wears so less clothes to pack.
From what I have seen so far think a good purchase
