Phillips pressurised steam generator
Have used a variety of irons/generators over the years, but this latest model from Philllips looked the best and certainly is.Very easy and quick to use, holds a large amount of water,so no need to keep refilling, and achieves a very high standard of finish.
Would highly recommend.
Philips GC9040/02 Steam Generator
[[ASIN:B001D0RF9K Philips GC9040/02 Pressurised Steam Generator.
My Wife tells me this is the best iron she has ever had, and believe me she has had plenty of irons, including three previous steam generators, and at 70 plus she knows a thing or two about irons.
So great price great product,as for reliability early days yet but so far so good. Thank you Amazon.
Steam control
This is an excellent product. Ironing is a lot easier than a conventional iron and the pressurised steam is great. There are two buttons on the iron. 1 on top of the handle which blasts steam through the nozzles at the front of the iron and a trigger under the handle which blasts steam through the middle of the iron. Flicking between the two options causes the valve inside the iron which directs the steam to the front and middle to sometimes stick. I thought this was a fault but, the iron seems to sort it's self out. It does make a little bit of a racket when the built in compressor kicks off and it happens as you use up the steam so about every couple of minutes. The finishing is great. I have always stuck with Phillips irons as the material they use for their face plates is fantastic.
