Iron Caddy5
The latest Rowenta irons are broader than their predecessors, too broad for our existing iron caddy. This Brabantia caddy fits the bill, is simple, but man for the job and fits to the wall using two provided screws. The ironing board "hanger" is optional. We use ours to stow the flex. This is the only caddy we could find on the market. Surprisingly, Lakeland didn't have any at all. It fits the bill exactly and earns a 10/10.

Storage for Iron3
Om so it is just an iron caddy....
Good points:
Easy to affix
Stores iron.

Bad points:
We were buying it to hang ironing board also and the length of the hanger means that you have to place the iron caddy quite high to accomodate the ironing board beneath.....i.e. it means reaching up to get the iron down. Fine for me at 6'2" - but might be an issue for someone shorter or who has problems reaching up.

The iron does not lock in place and my Tefal iron feels like it could just fall out - re previous comment from a very high point.....Having said that maybe I am just worrying overly much but you can't take a chance with chidren playing.

iron and hide4
I'd say that the Brabantia Iron store is probably the best Iron store I've come across after looking around the shops and searching the web.

The iron (Tefal) sits securely with no danger of it falling out (even after the door has been slammed) and the whole product feels very rigid and well made.

If you haven't guessed already I have actually fixed mine to the back of a door rather than a wall (ultimate space saver), however, if you are thinking of purchasing this product and fixing it to a door do account for what style of door you have and where the screws will go.
i.e. mine is a standard size 4 panel door and I found the centre section of the door too narrow for the fixing screws (they fix horizontally and would penetrate either side) but I liked the product and was reluctant to return it so I made a stencil of the product out of mdf, fixed the mdf to the door using vertical fixings then fixed the iron store to the mdf with the horizontal fixings.

Looks good and works well, and no more iron and ironing board getting in the way all the time. Job Done

(If you have a standard 5 panel door and intend on hanging the ironing board as well I would say that the upper cross section would be too low as a fixing point so you would probably need to improvise as well)
