The new DMC-FS3 features the iA (Intelligent Auto) mode, which comprises 5 shooting-assist functions; Mega O.I.S., Intelligent ISO Control, Intelligent Scene Selector, Face Detection and Quick AF functions. The high-performance image-processing LSI has newly entered its fourth generation, to be reborn as Venus Engine IV to assure higher-quality pictures with an advanced signal processing system.

DMC-FS3 pursues further compactness with a 2.5-inch LCD have 230,000-dot high resolution and Intelligent LCD function, which detects the lighting condition and controls the brightness level of the LCD in 11 fine steps, to offer a display with the most appropriate clarity in any situation.

Fabulous camera
I got this exact model in the gorgeous aqua blue version, which is much better looking than the anaemic pastel blue that it appears to be in photos. I was amazed how tiny and light this camera is, it looks gorgeous, the settings are easy to use, I've never had a digital camera before but didn't even need to read the instruction booklet, except about the rechargeable batteries and safety. I've used only 'intelligent' mode so far and it is child's play, it focuses, gets the lighting right, I just press and love the results. Perfect photos every time. Actually I've also tried the setting for pets. You can type in your pets name and date of birth and it then adds it's exact age, to the day, to the photo. For women there is even a setting to make your skin look radiant. Tried it too, my my, I could learn to love my image after these photos... Am thrilled with this camera. It was a Which magazine best buy, whichever colour you prefer to buy it in, and I can see why. Perfect to keep in a pocket or handbag and never know it's there, until you want it. Highly recommended. I think it would make a great gift too.

Excellent 'Girlie' Camera
Bought for 14 year old daughter - absolutely delighted with it; in what it does, the quality, size, rechargeable battery and of course the colour!!! Would definitely recommend - if you can find one!!

brilliant little camera, brought it for my daughter, but gives great pictures, the only down side is the slightly long delay between pre-flash to avoid red eye and main flash - but gives great pictures
