Synopsis
Delusional Liam Gallagher-loving Linda La Hughes (Kathy Burke) and camp struggling actorrrr Tom Farrell (James Dreyfus) are oddball flatmates. They're both dim bulbs looking for a good man--well any man at all really, even an escaped con will do. Witness the coarsest, foul-mouthed side-splitting complaints, bitching, intolerance and yet touching camaraderie between these two of life's unfortunate creations. Gimme, Gimme, Gimme more
I had forgotten how funny this was. Yes, some of the episodes you do think 'why did they write that?'

The only problem I found with this collection is that: a) they never made enough episodes, b) you can not eat whilst watching it (I did and either choked on or spat out food through laughing - mmmmm pretty sight!!) and c) I had to watch all 3 discs one after the other. I was also dissappointed that there were no extras on the discs such as out takes or commentary, I like to watch/listen to those.

I have to say that I love Kathy Burke and Linda is just a treat to watch, wish I had had a flat mate like that.

But I did pay a bargain price so really can't complain. It is something I will watch over and over again.

If you are a massive gimme gimme gimme fan this box set is for you. im just sad that there wasnt a fourth series :(

this is a great set for a rainy day inside! none stop laughter keeping you entertained!

A man after midnight?
An excellent show which dates back to the late 1990s and stars Kathy Burke as Linda La Hughes, a man-hungry red-head who shares a flat in Kentish Town, London with her gay actor flatmate Tom Farrell, played by James Dreyfuss. It's a hilarious show and both leads demonstrate immaculate comic timing, the double entendres come thick and fast (oooheerr!) and the banter is a joy to behold. Special mention must also be made of the supporting cast, downstairs neighbours Jez and Suze, who often wear jumpers deonoting their names and Beryl, their ex-prositute landlady, skilfully brought to life by Rosalynd Knight. The only thing disappointing about this box set was the lack of any extra features, which is a shame!
