About the Author
Rachel Nelson-Smith is a teacher and jewelry designer whose work is filled with bold sculptural shapes and vibrant colors. Her work has been displayed at the Milpitas Museum, Santa Cruz Metro Center and other locations in the California Bay Area and beyond serving as samples for workshops. A number of original projects have appeared in Bead & Button and Bead Style magazines as well as other online publications.

the best bead book in my collection
I am possibly even more impressed with this book than the previous reviewer. I have a great many beading books, but this is THE one for me! I love all the projects, and Rachel's ideas are wonderful - innovative, different, artistic, current, beautiful and completely inspiring. Not only that, but the projects are really well presented, with clear, detailed instructions, diagrams AND step-by-step photographs. I have not put this book down since it arrived, and, unusually for a beading book, have read it cover to cover. I have visited Rachel's lovely website, where kits to make the projects are available, and I can't wait to get started - and to see what Rachel does next. I am so hoping she will come to the UK. I can't think of anything negative to say, except that maybe the front cover, while smart and elegant, does not in my view do the book justice. Thank you, Rachel, for sharing your extraordinary creativity with us.

Wow this is a great book!
I love this book,as an avid seed beader I can honestly say this is my best book by far.
The projects are great with alternative colour and design combinations shown , the wire work is also great,I plan to make many of these projects, very happy to have this brilliant book.
