I was amazed
I bought the book because my Mum recommened it and i was amazed.
It made me look in a different way about many minor illnesses and serious deseases. It hooked me so much to the herbs that now i am looking for different books about alternative medicine and cures. And as it is said in the book "there is a herb for every desease on a planet" - i am starting to believe it.
It is not a novel but surely you can read all of it without noticing the time even the chapters you are not interested on a first sight.

Learn to take care of your health
There is an old saying that goes 'every family should have a herbalist and every community should have a herbal practitioner'. This is an invaluable book for those families that know that the pharmaceutical power of plants is extremely potent yet do not know how to use them to best and safest effect.

A truly brilliant and practical book on herbs!
I originally bought this book to try out the Swedish Bitters recipe (which is highly effective) and have since tried out a number of the other recipes. I'm a home herbalist and what I really love about it is that the remedies are supplemented with stories from Maria Treben's own experience. These really bring the book to life.
