Very Pleased
I bought this to replace a cheap (but good) Krups machine that had developed a leak. The water tank can be filled through the hinge up rear 1/3 of the top panel that hides the one cup filter and measuring scoop. The water tank has a Brita Maxtra filter inside. Touch the on/off button to switch on and the 1 and 2 cup selector switch led's flash until it's up to temperature, there are 3 temperatures selectable as well. Once up to temperature press the one or two cup switch as appropriate and the pump runs to measure out the pre-set (but easily programable) coffee fill and then stops. Open the steam valve to top up with hot water for an Americano, or press the steam button, wait until the Led stops flashing(about 30sec) then open the steam valve to froth milk for a capucino etc.
I've found the machine brews excellent coffee with a good crema and the steam wand produces nice thick froth close to shop standards. The Brita filter and automatic water control make consistantly good coffee easy to brew. I was concerned at the cost but I think it's well worth it for the ease of use, and it looks good too. The cup warming area is a brushed aluminium trim stuck on the top with double sided tape which hasn't caused any problems but is a bit of a letdown in build quality and keeps the * rating at 4.

I am so pleased to have chosen this coffee machine! it is extremely easy to use and makes fabulous expresso/cappuccinos, the taste is great, like in Italy itself. Best buy ever!

Well worth the money
After 8 years my Gaggia packed up ,saw the review so tried this machine brillant, produces a better cup of coffee and much easier to use, also the Brita filter is useful
