Mystical, faerie fella ROCK !!!!!!
Magnum are my favourite rock band and thro` their career they definitely have changed and developed. The first two albums (and this is the second folks) were very quirky, with soft keyboards and sudden staccato single string riffs. The whole is interwoven with Bob CATLEY still finding his ultimate vocal style so occasionally he departs from rock vocal to soft breathy quiet vocal to make a dramatic point. So like the first album you get a big dynamic range within songs which fans of progressive rock will love and others will jump out of their seats. The roots of later work are all there for Storytellers night for example but this is more reminiscent of very early Queen. It is in summary a very consistent and perhaps naively eccentric work which with repeated listenings is a masterpiece of rock riffery in a mythic english kind of a way. Finally any classic rock fan who has not got the closing cut in his/her collection "All of my life", is missing out on life itself! This one song alone deserves 5 stars. This album is amongst my favourite rock albums of all time and matches the innocence of the first with better songs.

Im a big MAGNUM fan,And to me,this is one of the best albums they did.From heavy to melodic. Its hard to choose one particular track from this album because there all bang on.If your into magnum you'll love this raw rock album.
