Editorial Reviews
From the Author
Horn Book review: Inaccurate subject matter.
The reviewers at Horn Books clearly made an error in their review of my book, Gentle Willow. Their review indicated a focus on a parent dying of cancer, which is not the subject of the story. The story was originally written for children who may not survive their illness. It is a tender tale that will also help children of all ages deal with the death of friends, family members, or even pets. It provides children, and those who read the story with a "transformational" way of viewing death and dying. It's message is meant to be inspirational and healing.
Customer Reviews
Tender and gentle way to help children cope with death.
I read this book to my 9 year old daughter when we found out her cancer was terminal. It helped her and her friends deal better with her impending death. I highly recommend this book to people who are dealing with children and death.
