Product Description

Light Yagami is an ace student with great prospects - and he's bored out of his mind. But all that changes when he finds the Death Note, a notebook dropped by a rogue Shinigami death god. Any human whose name is written in the notebook dies, and now Light has vowed to use the power of the Death Note to rid the world of evil. But when criminals begin dropping dead, the authorities send the legendary detective L to track down the killer. With L hot on his heels, will Light lose sight of his noble goal...or his life? With two Kiras on the loose, L asks Light to join the taskforce and pose as the real Kira in order to catch the copycat. L still suspects Light, and figures that this is the perfect excuse to get closer to his quarry. Light agrees to the plan in order to have free access to the taskforce resources. But when Light manages to contact the new Kira, he discovers that his rival is anything but as expected. Will Light escape from love unscathed?

Favorite volume yet!5
Volume 4 is my favorite volume yet of the Death Note series! Although the extensive mind games between L and Light in volume 3 were gripping they could have become tedious for those of us who are not wild about the detective/mystery genre. Misa's involvement will make things more interesting! What I'm trying to say is I'm hoping onwards from volume 4 the series will incorporate more elements of the fantasy genre and lean away from the detective/mystery genre somewhat, or to put it another way, stop beating around the bush and get a thick plot rolling! But, that is just my bias.

Also I should note that book also ends on a huge cliff hanger, it is almost mean! I will be getting the next volumes as they come out. An excellent manga series.

Meet Kira II5
The fourth volume to the hit Death Note manga series just gets even better in this volume. In it the battle of minds gets even bigger when we meet a new Kira. This means the fight of Light (Kira I) and L is going to get alot harder.

It is the new classic manga and every manga fan should at least try it out.

Kiras' copycat introduces themselves5
Having introduced a second Kira in the last volume, this volume concentrates on her and how she effects the investigation. Misa herself is somewhat annoying but quite likable and her Shinigami Rem shows us not all Death Gods are as unfeeling as Ryuk. Although still highly enjoyable and thoroughly entertaining, I did not enjoy this volume of Death Note as much as I have the previous volumes; although it is still better than anything else I have read and is well worth five stars. I cannot put my finger on what is wrong but throughout much of the beginning and middle of the book, it seemed somewhat lacking but thankfully it does pick up toward the end and the cliff-hanger ending will almost definitely want to make you seek out the next book.
