Packed with big hair, big tashes, but not so big shorts, The BIG Match is a nostalgic trip down memory lane, revisiting an era in which families across the land would huddle around the TV every weekend to watch live football beamed into their living room. Anchored by Brian Moore, this DVD will transport you to a time when football really was a funny old game; nobody batted an eye at Bobby Charlton s combover; players showed off more leg than a bucket of KFC; and the smell of bovine based drinks filled the terraces. So pick a spot in front of the telly for an afternoon of entertainment delivered with the charm, wit and style oozed by Brian Moore and Jimmy Hill, and revisit classic action from the best of The BIG Match as the likes of Charlton, Best, and Law bang them in.

Big Match, Big Hair.
Whether you were around a this time or not, this is a fascinating insight into the wonderful world of Division One football when times were less pretentious, footballers more earthy and studios looked like they were taken straight from MFI (which they probably were.)
This was not the greatest period in United's great history, but it would be hard to rival it for stylish kits, devil may care attacking football on unconducive pitches and noisy crowds creating a real atmosphere.
If you love United buy it, if you loved the Seventies, buy it and if you have been brought up in the era of the overblown and over hyped Premier League, buy it and see how football used to be in a more honest and respectable time that was astonishiongly only three decades ago.
Worth it for the theme tune alone!
Managed to watch all of it in afternoon and considering all the action was before my time I thorougly enjoyed the whole DVD. Although there isn't THAT much of Charlton, Law and Best, when you do see them you see some crackers, there's also a bonus clip of Best being interviewed and him scoring 6 in one game.
For anyone enjoying Big Match Revisited on ITV4, this DVD certainately lives up to the main programmes. The extras are brill too, shows how much TV coverage has changed since the 60's.
70s Reds Rule OK
Am I watching Life on Mars, or the Red Riding quartet or what? No its Sunday afternoon and its the Big Match.
Wow this stuff is like a time machine taking you on a magical ride back to the 70s.
Good United goals and memorable games are highlighted in this fascinating dvd, together with Bobby Charlton's wavy hairdo, Best the Bearded wonder, and Law diciplined, well mannered and gracious as ever.
If you like to see 70s and love football get this.
