A superb companion
I have just returned from walking the Hadrian's Wall path - a brilliant experience, and made easier and manageable (given my ineptitude with maps of all kinds) by this superb user-friendly map. From the first tentative steps the map provided clear navigation with sufficient detail never to get off track. The Hadrian's Wall World Heritage Pathway is very well waymarked, but this map is really all you need. Highly recommended.
Essential piece of kit
I recently completed the entire 84 mile route from Wallsend to Bowness-on-Solway with the aid of this map. Doing this route alone and rapidly I needed to keep my backpack as light as possible so opted for this single map as carrying several OS maps would have added unnecessary bulk. With the just right amount of detail it served my purpose admirably. If you're thinking of walking the entire Wall or even just parts of it I would wholly recommend this map - and it's waterproof to boot, making it practical (and an excellent impromptu ground perch too!)
An Excellent Map to the Whole of the Path
With friends I recently walked the 1st 42 miles of Hadrian's Wall from Wallsend. I had both an Ordance Survey map of part of the route and this excellent Harvey waterproof sectional map. No contest Harvey was far more helpful and I barely used the the Ordance Survey map. Whilst the scale of the Harvey map necessarily limits the detail shown it was sufficient and upto date. It covers the whole of the route on one map.The Ordance Survery covers vast areas North and South of the wall and is as a consequence very large (not helpful in other than breezeless conditions). You will also need at least 3 or 4 Ordance Survey maps to cover the whole of the route
