Synopsis
Published in association with the Ordnance Survey, a RECREATIONAL PATH GUIDE providing walkers with information and advice about the West Highland Way, a footpath running for over 90 miles from the outskirts of Glasgow to Fort William in the shadow of Ben Nevis. Includes 1:25,000 maps for each section shown alongside the text.

From the Publisher
Revised February 2005. The 93-mile West Highland Way is indisputably Britain's most spectacular long-distance path. The first section, following the eastern shore of Loch Lomond, offers an idyllic waterside walk, with the full grandeur of the Highlands gradually revealing itself. Then, after crossing the barren wilderness of Rannoch Moor, the walker climbs the Devil's Staircase above Glencoe and traverses classic Highland landscapes to reach Fort William and, if he or she wishes, a grand finale at the peak of Britain's highest mountain Ben Nevis. This comprehensive guide is an authoritative companion, packed with indispensable information.

Customer Reviews

Read it before and during walk an excellent companion5
This book was excelent. The Maps and text meant you did not need to look at a Map at all. It also contains walks up Ben Lomond & Ben Nevis. I would recommend anyone doing this walk to buy this book. I did the walk in Six days and the weather was some of the best I have had in Scotland. There were also photos and interesting comments. It is now a treasured book.
