Editorial Reviews
Review
It is the sort of story that turns history books into reality as it unrolls the picture of hard-riding border warriors, blazing homes, heroism, vengeance, and a lust for ransom. --Manchester Evening News
A tale in the Scott tradition: history and imagination closely woven to form a cameo of the aftermath of Flodden. The atmosphere of fear, courage and lawlessness is well maintained. --Edinburgh Evening News
