A groundbreaking method for performing at one's personal best in all aspects of life
We often make our worst decisions when we act from a weak sense of self; our best decisions when we are confident and self-assured. In Awaken Your Strongest Self, Dr. Neil Fiore introduces a revolutionary four-step program that shows you how to break self-destructive habits, increase productivity and creativity, and draw on your innate strengths.
The book shows you how to stimulate the brain's organizing and regulating capabilities, located in the prefrontal cortex, in order to maximize efficiency and enjoy a sense of confidence and ease. Through examples, case studies, and exercises, you will learn how to minimize feelings of being overwhelmed and, ultimately, replace former negative patterns with healthy behaviors.

10 out of 5 STARS! Even better than Neil Fiore's last book on Procrastination (also 5 stars)
The UK should know about the US book 'Awaken your Strongest Self'
Struggling to get my post-graduate studies completed I read (and listened) to Neil Fiore's other book 'The Now Habit'. I found it very easy to read and very very useful so when I saw 'Awaken your Strongest Self'I read it on spec. What a hidden gem - I wish this book was distributed for free at the GP's clinic. This is an incredibly practical book on how to how to replacing ineffective, self-sabotaging thoughts and behavioral patterns with new and powerful mental strengths, greater wisdom and self-confidence. The accounts of his own experiences on coping with cancer and loss and his clients' experiences help to reinforce the process throughout the book.
I'm not the only one recommending this incrediable book just read the reviews from other readers on the US Amazon site

5.0 out of 5 stars Without a doubt, the best self-improvement book I have ever read, October 4, 2006
By DBB - See all my reviews
So here I am, a few days after reading this book, and I am experiencing something I have never experienced from a self-improvement book. Typically, once I finish reading a self-improvement book, I am filled with great ideas but within a few days the ideas are either too laborious to implement or, worse, simply blown away into thin air as the deeper and more ingrained habits takes over. Disappointing, but something I have come to expect. But this book changed that and restored my hope in this genre of books.
In simple terms, the book Awaken Your Strongest Self has completely eclipsed any other self-improvement book that I have ever read. An attorney by training, I am a very critical thinker and often find myself finding faults with self-improvement books. Fortunately, I could find none with this, and was blown away by how logical, powerful, and inspiring it is. To try to explain the book in a few paragraphs would not do it any justice, but I am positively sure that this book will be the "Think And Grow Rich" or "How to Win Friends and Influence People" book of the century. Once you read it, you will understand what I mean.
Why am I so passionate about this book? For once, it is several days after I have read a self-improvement book and rather than struggling to remember and integrate what I learned, I cannot forget or shake what I have absorbed because it makes so much damn sense on so many levels. I was a happy person before I read this book, but I still feel like I have a new lease on life because of the tools I now have to enjoy life even more. I am extremely grateful that I have come across this book and, though I am typically a harsh critic, I simply cannot recommend it highly enough.
Talk about flogging a dead horse...
On the back sleeve, it says: "This is no ordinary book". Well, I'm sorry to tell you that this is a very ordinary book. It's so same-old, same-old that I'm at loss as to how to explain to you how this book differs from dozens of other books in this genre published during the last ten years. John earned a good salary but was unhappy. Mary was happily married but still felt something was missing from her life. There is a higher force we need to (re)connect to if we want to ever have a truly fulfilling life. We need to get back into the natural state in which we were as children. (We were supposed to have received unconditional love and acceptance as infants - makes me wonder what planet Mr. Fiore comes from.) Yawn... Occasionally, the pep talk is peppered up with a table or a list of questions to fill up with your answers, or even something resembling a test. The thing is, there was nothing in this book I hadn't heard before.
There is nothing repulsing in this book, but nothing worth one's time either. It did make me think, though. I kept asking myself the question: why did I buy this book? I still don't have the answer.
