Just a copy of other collections.
Super disappointing!!! C&H stories are brilliant as always but the repetition is really annoying for a C&H fan. However, it is fair to say that the contect is full of the old C&H humour which makes it a good buy for a first book. Otherwise my advise to you is steer clear!!
Humorous
Calvin and Hobbes. Need I say more? The Sunday strips are conceivably the best (especially since Watterson was allowed his new layout) because there's more space and room for more involved dialogue and/or action. And therefore, a better laugh.
It's also humorous, though, to see Watterson being slammed for doing something that would be unthinkable to him; slapping some strips out into the market for extra money. He hasn't had much control over how many collections and treasuries have been published, so slam the syndicate, not him.
This book is, of course, superfluous for the man (or woman, of course) who has every other C&H book. But for a newcomer, I can't think of a better book to start with.

A dissapointing mix of well-known stuff
Although the stripes in this compilation are just as funny as they always are, it is dissapointing to see that you can get the exact same stories from the other C&H Treasury Collections. This book is a sad attempt to make money by selling the old stories with a new layout. It gets the three stars only by being full-colored and being a compilation of Sunday stripes only. My advice? Buy the other four treasury collections! You get ALL the C&H stories - "The lazy Sunday book" is nothing more than a copy!
