Synopsis
Unfurling in front of a huge and rabid crowd at Houston’s Reliant Stadium, the biggest event in Wrestlemania history celebrates 25 years of opponent taunting, body slamming, and intense rivalries between the most colourful heroes and villains to ever grace sports entertainment. Although the first Wrestlemania took place at New York’s Madison Square Garden, only a state as large as Texas could serve as the spot for these epic matches. In this crushing competition from April 5, 2009, Triple H took on Randy Orton, John Cena battled Edge and Big Show, Chris Jericho fought WWE legends, and more of WWE’s brawniest clash in both single-combat and tag-team matches.

What a purchase this will be!!5
I watched this live, and was blown away with how they made it work!
An absolute pleasure to watch and learn form this event.

And during this reveiw I am going to talk in Wreslting language.
So if you're having trouble following, look the words up on wikipedia!

So, The spectacle that is WrestleMania!

Money In The Bank was booked as the Openeing contest, and I didn't see why until the match had ended. This match was absolute quality, yet insanity! Shelton Benjamin, why is he not getting the push he so rightly deserves?
My only grievance is the ending, but how I loved the heat at the end of the match! But over all.......What a match!! What a way to open ANY PPV, nevermind WrestleMania!!
(CM Punk Vs Christian Vs Shelton Benjamin Vs Kofi Kingston Vs MVP Vs Kane Vs Finlay Vs Mark Henry)

Chris Jericho Vs Ricky Steamboat, Roddy Piper, & Jimmy Snuka.
WELL, what a suprise! I was ready for the worst 15 minutes in WM history, then to my joy, a very good & respectable match with some great wrestling! Congrats to the Ledgends!

Matt Hardy Vs Jeff Hardy - Extreme Rules (Aka a Hardcore Match)
A superb contest in my eyes. They show what they can do one more time. Some of the most INSANE Ladder spots i've seen since Hardys V E&C at No Mercy '99!!
A 5 star performance from two of my all-time favourates, with a decent finish to my suprise.
I expected this to be poorly booked, but instead it was worth the air-time it was given and it contributed to a great show!

That 3 excellent matches in a row! Surely it must give! SURELY!!

JBL (c) V Rey Mysterio - Intercontinental Championship
And my god did it give! Worst Match in the history of WM, if not the worst match in the history of the WWE. What the "moose" was the point? I have seen (believe it or not), JBL & Rey have a quality match back in 06, this was annoying and was only booked to get the "Big Announcement" over!
An absolute disgrace!!

Shawn Micheals V The Undertaker
From what I can remember, this was you're typical "big man Vx little man" match. And boy was it a cracker!
I was so into this match it was unreal!
Good solid match, text book finish!!

25 Diva Battle Royal
I cant remember this at all.
Apart from Trish not turning up (from what I DO remember) and Gail Kim being so under-used it was criminal!
Oh, yes, and what an awful ending!!

I can honeslty say I dont remember much of the 2 Main Events but I do remember I was buzzing a the end of the show, so they must have been good.

Big Show Vs John Cena Vs Edge (c)
Better than the Triple Threat from WM 22 (not hard), but nowhere near as good as the one from WM XX!
Solid form memory, but typical finish.

Randy Orton Vs Triple H (c)
Very watchable from memory because I was buzzin after the show had gone off the air. So a good way to top off a GREAT WrestleMania!
Not often you can say that considering last time I said that it was after WM 21.

So, All in all! Buy it! Its a bargain at £18!!
BUY IT!
A must have for ANY Wreslting fan!

Brings back some good memories4
I was at WM25 so wanted to buy the DVD as a memento. It was great to watch it back as there were things that I totally missed, and also had forgotten altogether. The only disappointment was that Kid Rock was cut out altogether, and that was a highlight of the show for me!

I also like the book that you get with the DVD as it goes over all the past Wrestlemania's. This is definitely a good purchase for anyone who loves the WWE!

25 years in the making3
wrestlemania 25 was meant to be the best of the best,an event to change the world forever ,much like wrestlemania 1 did all those years ago,the hype was searing, the world waited,i bought this event live,i stayed up way past my bedtime,i was ready for it,the matches looked decent on paper, yet it all fell apart at times,oh no,hype can be the killer of all.
I think one of the problems lay with the main event, triple h and randy orton had been down this road so many times in the past,we all knew trips would get the main event at mania 25 and he did but he was part of a boring match, both men kicked and punched and did little else,it was very average.
The match for the world title where cena went up against edge and big show was pretty good, not great but did contain a double fu ,check it out.
Matt and jeff hardy played out a good match where they ran themselves into thr ground, the money in the bank ladder match was decent with a winner that wasnt that popular with some fans, the jericho vs legends match was poor for the most part with snuka and piper being bang out of shape ,ricky the dragon did ok for an old boy but some of his praise was overrated.
The match with the undertaker and hbk must rate as one of the best of all time though, stirling stuff,a classic,an instant classic in fact.
This dvd is necessary because of the hall of fame and the rundown of all the manias, however as manias go this wasnt the classic it was destined to be.3.5 stars out of 5
